Stitches

I got two stitches between my right eyebrow and the eye 3 days ago and I still have some swelling around there. I got it when I fell with my spectacles on and they seemed to have hit my skull. I'm a bit worried about the swelling around the area as I read up online that if the swelling doesn't subside soon, it could possibly mean an infection. My parents insist that it's totally normal but I still feel worried about it. Also, any idea when I'll have to go and get them removed?

Firstly, your parents are right, it is normal.
Secondly, if they didn't tell your when they get removed, the are possibly dissolvable ones.
