Boys what do you think about girls that wear makeup?

I just recently started getting into makeup, I think it's so pretty, I like it to look fairly light and not caked on like some girls.

My mom is very into makeup and I used to just sit and watch her put it on and was so fascinated thinking she looked so beautiful.
She's very beautiful actually and now I want to look extra pretty just like her.

Do guys like makeup on girls? What do you think of all that girly stuff we do?

I think makeup is an art. Wear it to make yourself look good and feel happy. If you wanna impress someone using makeup, go right ahead. I have no problems with it. Cake on highlight, contour, use heavy eyeshadow, it doesn't matter. At the end of the day, if you feel good about yourself, that's all that should matter.

I think makeup is an art too. It takes practice and lots of knowledge. What colours go with your skin and eye colour. The shape of your face, the placement, it's actually is an art lol.

Some girls don't care about the fine details and just slap it on, idk about that but each to there own I guess.

To an extent yes. Cakeface? No. Loads of eyeliner and mascara? No. To the point we can actually obviously see an excess of makeup in any way? No.

What you describe sounds fine, fairly lightly done makeup. Just to compliment what already is a beautiful face and highlight particular parts, but no more than just that. It's like art. When you draw a face, you don't draw aggressive, bold, and distinct outlines (unless you're doing abstract or something) around their features. You don't take your black and their eyes heavily, and you don't take the red or skin and destroy entire pencils just to draw a single cheek.

What I'm saying is obviously an overstatement, but the point is that no, we do not like excessive amounts of makeup. Just enough that it can make you look prettier, but little enough that we can't notice it from any more than 10 meters away.

The ideal amount of makeup to me is enough to make a difference, but not enough so that it's obvious you have it on. If you hold an arm or other skin to your face and the color is several hues different, you probably have too much on. Highlight the best parts of your face, but don't use it to drown out anything.
I'm almost never into lipstick, especially the cherry red stuff.

Agreed! As for the arm thing, I'd say the face should match the neck color because arms are usually darker, unless it's the underside of the wrist.

As long as it is not excessive and appropriate for the occasion/setting I like it. Some girls come to class looking like they just rolled out of bed and others show up at 8 am looking as they are going to the prom. Both turn me off. Look nice and appropriate is what I want in a girl's makeup.

Well some of the girls wear way too much make up . Well I know that's their right to do whatever they want to but my personal opinion is that too much make up makes girls look a little bit artificial . I'd say light make ups make them look much better .

I find makeup very acceptable for girls though I honestly dislike it when done wrong, here are a few examples.
- When you put on too much
- When you use flashy colors (blue flash lips)
- When you can't do it right (colors are off, unbalanced, and pretty much just when the makeup isn't put on correctly)

Though apart from that, if you have a slightly decent grip of experience, you will look more beautiful in the eyes of alot of people.

I really like makeup. I think it's so interesting that what you're essentially doing it painting your face like a canvas to make a beautiful work of art. There's just something so appealing about it. That being said, I think a girl can look beautiful with or without a make up, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Anything that girls thinks will make them feel better and more attractive is fine with me. My older sister wears makeup and she looks great wearing it.

In general I don't like it, if people smooth over their faces with spatula.
But in the end it depends on the opinion of the girl who's wearing makeup.

I think it's nice, as long as it's not overdone. There are some girls in my school, who are a bit older than me, who're literally wearing a second face. That's way too much.
