I went to the wedding of my cousin recently. She looked lovely in her white gown. But I was thinking that knowing her and the stories about her she was definitely no virgin. So girls could you be honest with yourself if your not a virgin and wear something other than white. My own answer would be to wear white no matter what. I could just hear all the mutters of disapproval if I walked down the aisle in something other than white.

I always thought white is just a traditional wedding color and has nothing to do with the pride's virginity? At least here in Europe? I'm pretty sure that's how it is, if people wear something other than white, they probably thought white was just too mainstream or smth lol.

White is supposed to be the sign of purity and virginal. I think.

I think so too, but I don't think most women think of that when they choose their wedding dress, they just go for white because that's the traditional color of a wedding dress.

I've been to many weddings... I seriously doubt any of them were virgins. however all of the brides wore the traditional white wedding dress.

White is supposed to be the sign of purity and virginal. I think. According to many of my family members you are right that the white dress is traditional and "supposed" to be a sign of purity / virginity.

I had no idea that white was a sign of purity and virginity. Learn something new everyday. Anyways, if I were to be married I wouldn't want white as the primary colour just because eh I'm a hipster with certain things. XD

I don't think it matters if you wear a white dress and your not a virgin.
Your a virgin to marriage so if you think of it that way then ...
I love white and I wouldn't want to wear any other colour for a wedding dress.

It's a stretch to say it's dishonest to wear white on your wedding when you're not a virgin.

traditionally, yes...but that is much less expected these days. most women wear white because its readily available.
