When is an appropriate age to have sex with anybody? (with a condom) I was hoping somebody would know because I don't want to when I am to young...

As long as you feel that you trust the person and that both of you are ready to bring your friendship to a new level. Also, accepting the outcomes, then you are ready, in my opinion.

Condoms have a 98% protection rate. So a good rule of thumb is when your ready to accept theres a 2% chance of having a baby.

It's up to you and the person you plan on sleeping with. I don't know how old you are but any age is right (to a certain extent of course). It depends on how you both feel about it. Having sex cums (pun intended) with a certain level of maturity. Protection is very very important and you should never have sex with someone without protection until you are both A) ready to have a kid (upside: you get to be on MTV! yeeehh) B) sure you are clean of STD's and the girl is taking the pill. If either one of those points don't count for you then you should use protection or don't have sex at all

I totally agree with Skywalker, I am almost 19 and feel ready to have sex (I understand the possible outcomes) however, though I do and have done a lot of fantasizing and playing around I am a virgin because I have not felt the "right" person has entered my life (and I am not talking about marriage) as yet. It is not a religious thing, just an emotional thing for me. For me, intercourse is more than just having fun and getting off. Just my opinion for me. Everyone has to come to his/her own position.

When you know the person well and are committed to them. This will probably not truly happen until you're about 18 or older, but I would say 18 would be a good age.

In England, 16 is the legal age but nothing will happen to you if you have sex and you're over 13. That being said, just because you're 13, doesn't mean you should start having sex. Make sure you know everything (like the risks etc...) and make sure that it's the right time and right person. Also, make sure you don't feel pressured to do it; let it happen naturally.

There is two side to think about, legally and morally. In some country, you have be certain age to have sex but people do it anyway. Second, do you think you are ready for it. Imagine that you have all the fun in your teenage years. I guess it will be pretty boring when you hit adulthood. Just think twice when you are making decision because a lot of people regret it afterward including me.

When you are fully comfortable with the person you want to have sex with, then you are ready for it.

Whenever you feel like you trust someone you're in a relationship with enough. It's sort of one of the highest levels your relationship can have so I would suggest making sure you both trust each other enough. There really isn't a specific age, but I would say not before you're 15.

Definitely, when you feel that you are read to take on the responsibility of having intercourse, all it involves, and finding the right person.

I would honestly have sex whenever I have the opportunity. Most likely with my girlfriend of a long period of time.

Do what works for you. Having said that, find a partner you really care about and make sure it is not just consenting (i.e. both of you want to do it) but also consider what can happen if all else fails (i.e. your partner now has a baby to carry)

you're ready to have sex when you're with someone you would stick with forever. and vice verse. if you make a baby (and there's no way to totally prevent it with condoms) you have to be ready to stick around and support it. if you can and will do that, you're ready for sex.

When you're ready. I think guys should start around 16/17 I think that's like the standard time.

I agree with everyone, as soon as you feel like you're ready and you're ready to let yourself be vulnerable with the other person. Also you need to be ready for any consequences that might come out of it

No one can tell you that. Only you know.
Everyone is different. My uncle (who is the person that told me the sex talk) told me that he had sex when he was really young and he regretted it. So maybe dint do it too young.
But my friend Jarek had sex with this girl when he was 11! And I know for a fact he wasn't lying - don't ask how.
It was this real slutty girl and she was 14
He said he wished he didn't do it cuz his first time wasn't with someone he cared about. It prob should at least be with a gf or bf maybe idk

As others are saying, and as I've said before, when it feels right for you then that's the right time! Just be safe!

When you find the right person and have the opportunity. In my opinion it's not necessarily the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, just the person who is important in that moment of your life.
I think the average time is 15 to 17 years old, but it's ok even earlier if you both are ready for it.

In the uk it is at 16 but I think if you are both consenting and you have adequate protection, 15 is ok.

Anything younger than 15 is too young, but that doesn't mean you should Rush it. it should be with someone you love. Don't just try to "hit it" to add to your masculinity.
