So turns out I'm getting a physical after new year because parents say so :mad: I've never had one and im nervous because another poster said he was hard during the exam. Do they always check your dick? If so how long are you naked? I'm uncut, will that make a difference? Sorry for all the questions.

this. don't worry about the naked thing, it is nothing they have never seen before and they are not going to give it a second though. many doctors won't make you be naked the whole time, just when they need to check that area. some might do it, but it is likely the majority of the time you will be wearing at least your underwear. nothing to worry about and it is something you should do just to make sure everything is ok

You also remind me that I need to book for an appointment for my annual check up. I just do some research. Depend on your location and doctor. Not all require to be full naked. Also, it will be quick. The doctor wont concentrate on your penis unless something is wrong.

You'll be fine. They check your whole body which is long and boring so you will be too bored to get hard, then finally he'll say pull down your underwear and he'll touch it for 3 seconds and then it'll be over. No biggie.

don't worry about they will check your whole body yes he will pull back your foreskin to check under it he will feel your penis he will most likely roll your testicles in his fingers and he will mostly check your bum also just try not to think what he is doing if you do get an erection so what at least he will know it is working ok he most likely sees a heap of erections so its no big deal

If you get a boner, you get a boner. It's not like you can stop getting hard. Just let it happen if you get hard. The doc has seen it before. I doubt being circumcised or not would make a difference. I got a boner during my physical because the doctor was one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen. Like a playboy model or something.

typical exam they check heart, lungs, reflexes, spin, abdomen. sometime a hernia check that takes like 5 seconds with your underwear down. if you have a foreskin it might get pulled back to see if there is a problem. some of my exams have been wearing my pants and underwear, some just underwear and a few naked. i have gotten erect a few times, nothing was said.

In June my mom took me to a regular physical...The lady doc was professional (she's seen me for abt 5y). She first got me to take my top off and listened to my chest.. Then got her assistant (female nurse abt 25) to help me take my shoes and jeans off. I was weighed and then asked to lie on a bed...then my tummy was examined and at last she pulled my briefs down and checked my testes and checked my anus too (because I had constipation and piles earlier..)

The other thing? They may make you pee in a cup, but you'll be in the bathroom for this one. Drink plenty of water before you arrive at the office so when the time comes, you're not sitting around in the bathroom for a long time. Even if you don't need to give a urine sample, you'll be ready.

Most of the bathrooms are private, meaning you'll be the only one in there, but even if it's a multiple-person bathroom, you'll most certainly be allowed to use a stall.

And yeah, you'll have that part out only for a few seconds. The doc may make you pull the foreskin back, but the truth is that in California, foreskins are totally common, so it's absolutely nothing your doctor hasn't seen before.

My doctor does it one time each year. I have to be in just my boxers for most of it but he checks like your stomach and back and all the other stuff. Your only naked for like 30 seconds. My doctor is cool about it and makes jokes. I even know now when it's gonna happen cuz it's always when I'm on my back right after he checks my stomach. Then he says ok gotta slip these down. He pulls down your boxers and basically checks your balls. He likes rolls them around or something lol. He's making sure your going thru puberty okay I think. My doctor is funny he says "yep you still have two of them!" Or one time he says "this isn't your fave part is it? Do you think I like it?! Let's just get it over quick okay?"
But it's so fast I don't think you could get hard that fast. It's not like he's rubbing the dick part.

All of my clothes are off except for my underwear throughout the entire exam and my parent stays in the room until it it time to check the penis. The doctor has my parent walk out of the room, I stand up, he pulls down my underwear and places his hand on my scrotum. He has me cough a few times and then he places his hands on my penis and checks it out to make sure everything is fine with that. I have a physical every year for school sports. The doctor will check your penis for sure, but it's not a big deal. I wear my boxers for most of the time. At the end of the exam he'll say to pull down your underwear and will check for a hernia ("turn your head and cough") and then your balls, basically he rolls them around his fingers for a few seconds. If you're uncut (like me) he'll also pull your foreskin back for a second. It takes 30 seconds in total!

I got an erection only once, when my usual doctor was away and the new doctor was a woman. I wasn't embarrassed, I think it's completely normal if a woman touches your balls since I'm straight - it means everything is working well!

Yeah, they'll check your dick most likely. Probably nothing more than feeling the shaft and probably looking in the hole, and then the hernia part where they kinda put a finger up into your balls. Since you're uncut, pulling back your foreskin, too. I started to get hard once when they did that when I was uncut, it just happens. I only got part way, cause my skin was tight and it kind of stopped once it started hurting a little. Although that might be what they were checking for, who knows.
