There are a lot of surveys on VirtualTeen, but little concrete data produced from them. I have explored data on VT men as you can see in another post (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?p=3016605#post3016605). I am currently working on synthesizing VT's largest-ever male puberty survey (over 1,000 responses) into a hugely representative data set.
However, no such huge uniform sample exists for girls. Perhaps there are fewer female-centric surveys, perhaps there are fewer female respondents. In any case, the best set I could find on the same survey contained 55 responses, which is just barely statistically significant. But, it still provides insights.
In the following post, I will overview data results for the entire sample with key findings. I have data on quite a few things which I'd like to explore further in a blog post. Please let me know if you have any questions.
GENERAL OVERVIEW AND KEY POINTS
Some key findings:
98.1% of females surveyed masturbate and the same amount (though not the same exact respondents) had at some point experienced orgasm (not necessarily through masturbation).
On average, respondents who masturbate began shortly after age 11.
On average, respondents who had experienced orgasm had their first just before age 12.
On average, all respondents (including those who do not masturbate) masturbate just under 12 times each week, or just under twice each day.
On average, the masturbation sessions of respondents who masturbate last nearly 20 minutes.
Of respondents who masturbate, only 54.5% achieve orgasm every time. 25.5% achieve orgasm most of the time; 14.5% achieve orgasm sometimes; and 5.5% rarely achieve orgasm or never have.
The youngest age at which a respondent began masturbating was 5, the oldest among masturbators was 16.
The youngest age at which a respondent experienced her first orgasm was 6, the oldest among those who had orgasmed was 16.
Among masturbators, the most often a respondent did so was 87.5 times each week, which is 12.5 times each day.
