So I've been trying to use a tampon for awhile. I can never get it in. I got it in once, but I freaked and took it out right away. But at least now I know I can get it in. I really want to go scuba diving this week, but I can't get my tampon in. It's hard for me to find the hole I think.

Hi lily are you virgin? If you are tray to lubricate the tampon before put it inside and slowly. You can use any water soluble gel or a little of vaseline will work fine. Just try to put it inside slowly. If you are not virgin use the same method but dont be so nervous and enjoy you scuba diving !!

It's going to feel weird at first, just go with it. You're probably not doing anything wrong, and you'll get used to it.

Please - virginity has nothing to do with it. Please stop perpetuating this myth. That's not how the vagina works.

However, lubricating the tampon isn't a terrible idea. You could also try different brands of tampons and see if that makes any difference. If you can manage to do so, using a mirror might help as well. Stay relaxed and trust yourself.

I mentioned the virginity because I know girls that actually tear or hurt the hymen using the tampon incorrectly, by accident and sometimes on purpose.

Yeah but don't use vasaline, it's not built for the vagina.

In fact if you google why you shouldn't use vasaline in the vagina you'll discover why it messes up the good and bad bacteria ratio making you more prone to infections there.

Well I have a question about tampons. Do they feel good? Like does it feel like exciting?

While that is true, virginity has nothing to do with it. You can tear your hymen using a tampon (among other things) whether or not you've had sex before. Your hymen doesn't disappear once you insert something. Perhaps if you're inserting a tampon not long after having sex, it might be a little easier.

Not in my experience (doesn't feel like anything) and I've never heard of anybody getting pleasure from using a tampon.

Not particularly. Not that I'd be in the mood anyway, given the circumstances.

Sweeper that was such a stupid comment. Exciting it is not.

Read recently of a young girl dying from septic shock because of a tampon. Probably left it in too long. Tragic.

Why is that a stupid comment? You agreed with me.
