So I recently finished my last game for football (last Saturday) and my teammates jacked each other off in the shower (they said they were experimenting) They encouraged me to participate but I felt awkward since they nor I have ever done this before. All of us are straight but I still feel weird to do this with them. Did anyone have this experience before? Should I join them?

Personally, I don't think it is weird. They are just having a good time bonding with each other, and I'm sure they are all comfortable with it if they are doing it. Yes, I have had this experience before and it was fun. If they invited you to join and you feel like doing then I say why not!?

I have done it once before with my best friend at the time in my house. I wouldn't feel awkward experimenting with team mates as such but more so anxious due to a trust issue. I would only experiment with somebody if I trusted that they would not tell anyone who could then possibly judge you. Hence, for me to experiment with someone, I would need to be quite close with them. Depending on your relationship with them, how close you are, and how much you know and trust them, you can decide for yourself whether or not you should join them.

It's totally normal to feel weird about it, because you're trying something new. It's up to you wether you want to join if you see them doing it again, personally I enjoyed the experience so I would encourage you to at least try.

This happened to me in HS on the swim team. It wasn't just a one time thing though and happened a few times every year from my freshman to senior year. It wasn't uncomfortable for me or didn't seem to be with any of my team mates. This happened in the showers and at mny sleep overs that we had or even when we went to meets where we had to stay over in a hotel. It is definitely a bonding moment and I enjoyed it. Join if you want or don't join, it is totally up to you and I hope you aren't pressured to do something you don't want to do.

It's okay. Experimenting is a good part of adolescence, and you should embrace it - only if you feel comfortable with it though. I'm 15 and I wish I could experiment more, because right now, I am confused as hell.

In my opinion it is completely normal, part of puberty. I've done it a lot of times. Basically it is part of shower routine after swimming lessons. Our teacher is already gone and swimming is usually our last lesson during the day.
