Boys and Girls - What is a flaccid penis

Asking how big my flaccid penis is sort of a pet peeve of mine (for several reasons lol) mostly because I can't figure it out. I know flaccid basically means not hard but it can change day to day right? Even minute to minute? I don't get how guys can say so certainly how big they are flaccid (unless they're just guessing and rounding up 1-2 inches lol). I'm 7 inches hard and that size doesn't change much at all maybe a quarter of an inch, but I honestly could say my flaccid size varies between 1-6 inches. I've been running in the freezing cold and it's not shocking to come back home and it be 1 inch. But somedays it can be 6 inches and I consider it flaccid because it's still hanging down and flopping and when I'm hard it usually points straight out, and oftentimes points up a bit.

So guys is there a rule of thumb you use when measuring your soft dick? Should I just measure it soft 100 times and take the average of what?

Girls do you even care what a guy's soft dick measures or is it all about the boner?

I just take what it is normally at room temperature lol. Usually people give a range. Like mine is 4" give or take 1/4". But you're right, after a winter run mine can definitely be as small as 3", and on a warm day when I'm peeing or something it can be like 5.5" and that's not really even a "semi". But when that happens I know it's not as soft as it usually gets, if you know what I mean.

Girls do you even care what a guy's soft dick measures or is it all about the boner? i think it's all about the boner. i dont mind much but a larger one is definitely a big turn on.

This is probably right. I know after morning swim practice I can be really small, pool water always seems colder in the morning, but then after being in a warm shower I go back to what is "normal" for me.

Try to measure it when it's not too hot or cold in the room, then it should stay more stable. You're right though, flaccid size does vary a lot and because of that inconsistency people usually prefer to use their erect size.

Yeah, it honestly goes both ways. The MOST fair i can think is something like room temperature when you haven't been recently active. And when you're not in the least bit hard.
I know this isn't the point, but why does flaccid size matter at all? That's literally just a comparison/brag point and when your erect length is really all that matters, why bother? Flaccid size is such a poor indicator of anything (at least that we're medically aware of) that I don't even see the need to measure it. It's not like I'll ever have sex in that state

the flaccid size of a penis will vary, guy to guy, as well for individuals. i step out of the ocean, my penis will be shorter than when i went into the water. chilly days make it shrink, warm days it's at the longest soft length. mine will vary a little more than an inch, but have friends that vary about 2 inches. have one friend that when he gets out of the water you can barely see his penis for several minutes.

Yes, flaccid size varies.

It helps to understand that the erectile tissue of the penis is like a sponge. Depending on how much blood is in that tissue it can be bigger or smaller with an obvious limit of "completely full" which is erect.

It is a bit like any inflatable toy (any toy, not necessarily a sex toy). It has a size when fully inflated, it has a "pack-away" size when there is no air in it at all, and there are a variety of sizes in between depending on how much air is in it.

Comparing to the penis the "fully-inflated" size corresponds to erect, the closest one gets to the "pack-away" size of when the penis is very cold and has shrivelled because the body has diverted the blood to the core to conserve heat and the sizes in between are flaccid sizes.

So, don't bother with flaccid size, it is not a meaningful measurement.
