I think you need to think about what the concept means to two girls in a relationship.

Traditionally men valued female virginity going into marriage as he would then know that any child his wife had would be his [assuming she doesn't start cheating only once the marriage has started]. Male virginity was of little interest until relatively recently where some guys see it as a burden.

So, immediately you are in a relationship which will not directly bear children the original concept no longer applies directly but one part of it, reserving a certain type or level of sexual activity for a serious/long-term partner remains relevant but you're now free to say where you should draw that line. You could choose the closest thing to penis-in-vagina sex, for example using a strap-on but it doesn't have to be that.

No, it needs to be a penis unless society has changed it's views in the last minute or two.

Virginity is an outdated concept from back when women were property.

Don't waste another minute worrying about if you are or aren't a virgin.

Being a virgin doesn't make you pure, or good, or wholesome. Not being a virgin doesn't make you bad, or dirty, or a slut.

As much as this is feminist rant, its some what true.
Virginity is still a thing, but you definitely shouldn't care.

Just live life.

If you REALLY care, virginity is dictated by biological genitalia, not items. Again though, dont worry about it.
