Just ask questions. Do not make it about you, make the conversation about her. Ask her about what type of animals she likes. Favorite color, favorite music, favorite ice cream, favorite movies. Just anything really general and simple. But carry on the conversation. Do not make it seem like an interview silly. Say whether you share similar interests and make her laugh as much as you can.

Be yourself, but for her. Talk small first, get to know her a little bit. Always center the conversations around her when you can (without doing so creepily). Never, never, never say something about liking her before you know her well enough online and offline to know how she's respond if she didn't have those feelings for you also.

Does she have siblings. Does she get along with them well. How about parents. What does she like/don't like at school. Who's her best friend. What does she like in music, books, conversation. What are her interests, sports. Where does she live. What does she like or not like about it. Where would she like to live. What does she want to be doing in five years. What does she want to do for a living.
Just get her talking about herself. Everybody likes to talk about them selves and they like people who are interested in hearing about them.
