Ok, so yesterday I trimmed my pubes fro the first time to try it and to see what it was like. I just have a couple of questions for you. I would prefer those who answer to be ones who shave or trim their pubes.

1) how can I get it to stop itching, and why does it itch?

2) how long will it take to grow back?

I haven't found a way to stop the itching. Idk why it itches. Usually takes a few weeks for them to grow back to a decent length.

I am assuming you also shave your face too

It itched because the hair is growing back. now idk how far down you trimmed or with what but it could be iritataion i know it happens to me too.

just take a hot shower and wash the area and the itching will stop in a few days.

as to how long it will take to grow back

thats a different story some people get stubble the very same day and its back with in a month or so, the full bush. so it may take days or longer

hope it helped

I guess it depends on how much you trimmed them. I've only don't it once so far, 2 weeks ago, and they still haven't grown back to what they were. But they never itched for me.

itching happens when they grow back, really can't prevent it. and they will grow back according to your body, could be faster or slower than even a male family member, never mind other boys. i shave mine every other day so no itching, but i like being smooth, some don't

I do have experience with this. Especially with as hairy as I am. I have learned from shaving my pubes, chest, pits and face that if you do not prepair your skin you will get inchy, ingrown hairs and pimples over where there are hairs.

My suggestions are pretty straight forward. If you want to completely shave any hair I suggest you do it in the shower with water as warm as you can tolerate it. It opens up pores. If you have let your pubes grow out I suggest trimming them down a bit. It will prevent the razor from getting cloged up easily. Now when shaving. Move slowly over the skin in the counter-direction of the hair. In the pubic area, this means shaving upward. For people who are prone to ingrown hairs or razor burn, it is recommended you shave in the direction of the hair growth. As you shave, feel free to keep applying shaving cream. The itchiness you feel is the hair growing back, and you will feel it itch for a few days, even after the hair has gone above the skin because pubes are naturally curly. Keep a eye out for ingrown hairs, you will see redness and a white head if it is ingrown. There are different ways to dealing with them. But the best way is just popping them. Rarely you will need to dig them out.

Growing out all depends on how fast your hair grows, which also depends on how far into puberty you are. If you just started getting pubes it could take as long as a month. If you are far into it, a matter of days.

Also, I suggest shaving cream for sensitive skin.
