So, I am gay and 16. From what I understand, gay sex the first time is pretty painful. This is embarrassing, but how to you prepare for gay sex.

Sex in any form shouldn't be painful, it should be enjoyable. If you find it painful then you shouldn't even try it...

I don't agree with this.

As far as I'm aware (but not experienced with), the first time with gay sex is very likely to hurt slightly for the obvious reasons. The first response you got is what I believe to be the most accurate; lubrication and relaxation will be your best forms of preparation.

Remember the basics though, and use protection! Most of all, enjoy.

This is what I've found works best.

1. Clean yourself. Seriously. This is so important it's not even funny, if you're the giver or the receiver, clean up! Douche, soap, aenema, whatever it takes.

2. Foreplay. So much foreplay. This is pretty much what's going to determine whether or not you enjoy it or not. Make sure you use lube, make sure he (or you) wears a condom, safe sex is imperative. Make sure you use water or silicon based lubes, because oil lube erodes latex and that's a fun time for exactly 0 people.

3. Take it slow. Give yourself time to relax. Really, there's no reason to rush this. Both of you need to take you time and just chill the fuck out for a couple seconds.

That's it.

sidenote: If it starts to hurt more than you can take it, or you start to bleed, you need to stop immediately.

Basically all of this...even though it's been years since I've done anal with a guys gotta tell you cleanliness is so important. Being so clean does dry you out though so really need a lot of lube, like so much it seems like too much (have a town near by). The only thing I wanna add is to communicate. If you need him to slow down or take it out tell him and if you're in the middle of the good stuff and need more lube don't be scared to tell him.

P.S- just some advice if you're getting your cherry popped. Everyone says go slow and that's true but I've found that if you're lubed enough it's easier to go slow just until the head gets in then steadily slide the rest in all at once.

Also. If you need to...shave back there.

It hurt cause, you usually dont have thing back there. So the muscle stretch and cause some pain. If you take it slow and well prepare like foreplay and a lot of lube, you should be good. Remember if it hurt, you can always stop at any moment.
