How important is it to you that the person you marry is a virgin?
The traditional virgin bride thing is that the girl is a virgin and the guy is not, which of course is hypocritical. It's extremely important in some cultures and not in others. You can't say it's biblical cuz in the bible if a man offers his daughter for sale as a wife he just gets a lower price if she's not a virgin.
I don't intend to get married until I'm in my mic 20s at least and I would want the woman I marry to have about as much experience as me.

Actually in the bible it said if a girl is not a virgin on her wedding night she shall be stoned to death.
Personally im against the concept of marriage the only reason i would do it is if it was financially better for both of us.

Well that's Leviticus, which even the fundamentalists ignore.

What a superficial thing to care about. I'd rather pay attention to what's actually important.

Such a weird concept when you find that the bible allows re-marriage to those who lost a spouse already.

Don't listen to mattsmith48. He doesn't know shit about the Bible. The death penalty is only proscribed for a woman who loses her virginity after betrothal. A woman who loses it before then gets absolutely no punishment at all.
Biblical marriage consisted of 2 stages, often separated by a period of a year or so. The first one, betrothal, was the creation of the duties between man and wife: fidelity, support etc. The second stage, the consummation, was when the wife is fiscally married, with regards to inheriting the husband's assets as such.

It's not superficial, not in my opinion. It's not the utmost important thing in a relationship but I think it's good to know about your partner's general past sexual life, and for your partner to know about yours. I'd prefer my partner to be a virgin, but if he isn't I'm not going to reject the whole relationship based on that. My main concern would be STD's, and especially if I knew my partner had engaged in any promiscuity I'd definitely be worried for him and absolutely for myself. In my culture sex and anything related is a big no until you're past your teenage years, like in your twenties, which is why I am a virgin and plan to stay as one. But honestly these days being teens, I don't think my parents would be too shocked if I wind up losing my virginity before reaching twenty. Not that I will, I'm against having sexual relationships as a teen. And if I ever do get married I intend to do so after completing my education and getting a job.

^ you should both get tested for STDs before sleeping with somebody anyway, regardless of how many sexual partners they've had.

To me it's about the person. It doesn't matter if they're a virgin or not.

The traditional bride thing doesnt even make sense. how could the boys loose their virginity when the girls remain as virgins? unless the boys are gay.

well everyone is a virgin at some point before they have sex. I been with both, it really does not matter either way to me. obviously someone more experienced knows what they are doing, but like I said, everyone is a virgin before they have sex, so whatever

Preferable, but if I like someone who is not, I don't care.

By marriage I couldn't give a toss.
However, what is more important is when I lose my virginity. I'd rather lose my virginity to another virgin, but again I don't care that much.
