So I'm gay and my friend, who is a girl, is straight. Every now and then she asks me how I know I'm gay if i haven't a had sex with a guy. And I tell her that I don't need to have sex with a guy to know that I'm attracted to guys. This discussion usually escalates to the point where I say to her, "Well how do you know you're straight if you haven't had sex with a girl..." Then she gets angry at me and she says, "its not the same thing..." So what do you think?

Use the same thing on her, ask her how she knows she's straight if she hasn't had sex with a guy. But that wouldn't work if she has had sex with a guy.

Tell her how it's not about sex. It's the emotional and physical attraction towards guys. You have feelings for guys, feelings that you don't have towards girls.

It is technically the same thing. I've said to several of my straight guy friends "how do you know you're not gay if you havn't done stuff with a guy?" They get rather pissed off at me. But it's kinda true
