I've never known what you do on a date with someone where you just go an get lunch or something. What would you do if you're not actually planning anything like a movie or something? Would you just walk around and have a chat? I'm not exactly the most experienced man in terms of dating, so any help to fill in the gaps of my knowledge would be helpful, thanks!

Partially to bump, partially for more info. I'm planning on asking a girl out for lunch this weekend, but I don't know what to do afterwards. Should we just walk around and chat? Maybe go to an arcade or something? Idk what to do after just having lunch. So thanks for the help guys :)

Depends on where you have lunch. If near a park, museum, art gallery, arcade that will suggest an after meal activity. Look at the possibilities and suggest a plan to your date before the lunch so she can plan for the additional activity. Is this a first date? If so be sure she is comfortable with your suggestion. And, of course, lunch may be enough if there is good conversation during lunch. Good luck and have fun.

It depends on how close you are to her already.
I was really good friends with my gf before we started actually dating. Because of that...we were already comfortable just hanging out. Like after school we'd just grab a bite and go hang out at the park.
When you're still trying to work out that chemistry with a girl I usually tell people to plan dates around activities so that there's not too much time for awkwardness. If you do something like a mini-golf date that's like and activity and talking lol
For your coffee date try to find a small café instead of a big chain place like Starbucs. They're easier to talk in and generally more cozy. They're also usually in places where you can walk around.
