Genetics. You might not have much armpit hair because of your parents. While this might be the case, you're 16 so you're not necessarily finished with puberty meaning that you still have time to grow it.

Yeah it's quite normal. There are different aspects of puberty. Some come about earlier some later in different ways for different people.
As far as i remember i didn't have much pit hair either at 16.

some guys just do not grow much hair at all. I don't that is why it is less of a big deal to shave it off

I know a friend who didn't get any pubic hair until he was about sixteen years old. It just comes when your body is ready to produce it! Plus, there really isn't a rush for it, because once you have it.. it gets kind of annoying (Haha). Keep your head up, in time you'll grow some!!

its normal you might just not be able to grow a lot of hair there and theres nothing wrong with that. you also might have not hit the point in puberty where you will grow that hair it all happens at different times for each person

Your friend with few pubes, did he also have a small pre pubescent dick and balls too? My friend who was nearly 15 was like that but we both moved so even tho I sorta stay in touch with him I haven't seen him in 2 years and it would be weird to ask him through text if his dick ever grew lol. But I assume it did since he's 17 lol. He was nearly 15 and less than an inch soft with nearly zero pubes.
