I don't really have anyone in my life to call my "best friend"? I mean, I do have best friends but I wouldn't consider them to be my #1 best friend where we known each other since we were babies, understand each other, go through everything together like I don't really have anyone like that :/

Anyone else feel the same?

my true best friend got into some trouble when we were younger and he got sent away, so we only talk on the phone sometimes and always through letters. Since hes been gone I dont have anyone who I can relate to or even call a best friend, because they arent. Most of them are just acquaintances and loose friends, but nothing close like i used to have.

Friends are fickle when you're younger. You may have best friends that last a year or ten. I met my best friend in high school. I never had that next-door-neighbour best friend as a kid. And a lot of my friends came and went throughout the years. Nowadays my best friends are my high school friend and my girlfriend and I'm okay with that. Things just happen over time and there's no need to worry about it. There's nothing bad about not having that ideal best friend just yet.

That's almost as normal as having a best friend. I personally have a lot of friends, but none that I'd consider a best friend.

I mean it's probably good for the people who have long lasting childhood friendships but i haven't had them. Regardless, i have people who understand me well whom i consider friends. i don't really call anyone best friend really so that's about as good as it gets. :P

Yeah, I don't have a bff either. I have a friend that I do a lot of things with but I can't say we're soul mates. I don't think that happens a lot.

I don't have any close friends of that sort... Just sucks when you compare yourself with other people the same age...

Well, I don't have allot of people I call a 'friend' so yeah, it's normal, don't worry about it.
