Okay, I finally got my tongue pierced today and I already love it. I also want to start getting some other piercings so does anyone have a good suggestion for another place to pierce or a type of piercing I should get. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated :)

It really depends on what look you have. If you have a picture of yourself then people might be able to suggest things that suit you because piercings are very subjective and certain ones suit certain people.
As said above, belly button is a pretty generic piercing and can be hidden so that might be a good one to get. Other than facial piercings you could go for dermals but, again, that's all down to preference. If you want facial piercings then a picture of you as a guildline would hell massively.

I have a medusa (middle of upper lip) and septum (middle nose), as well as stretched ears.
My advice, if you're looking to get either a medusa or septum piercing,
-make sure you do not have a long frenulum (little tissue at the top of your inner lip, connecting to your guns) or deviated (displaced) septum
Your piercer will be able to tell you, but I'd recommend having a professional look at you before you get your heart set on it
-saline solution is your best friend. Good oral hygiene is key- and for your tongue ring too. Especially your tongue ring.
I don't know how much a tongue piercing hurts, but the two I have are considered some of the more painful ones- I don't think they'd be much worse I oven the sensitivity of the tongue.
Oh, and stay away from spicy food, or anything hard or hard to eat. LMAO.
I also wouldn't recommend eating ice cream if you get a medusa. Not for the first week or so, anyways. It was hard to eat, let's put it that way ^^"
Have fun with your new piercing!

I only have stretched ears and an industrial bar in my left ear. I did have snakebites at one point but I got bored of them and took them out. I really don't recommend getting cartilage piercings in your ears, they take a fuck tonne of time to heal. I mean, they look really nice but fucking hell they're high maintenance and hurt like fuck for the first two weeks. Facial piercings aren't actually that bad for healing or having, I don't think - well not in my experience of having two lip piercings.

I wish I could get my tongue pierced but I'm a singer and it can be hard for some people to adjust to the change.
I'm probably going to get a navel piercing soon though and let it heal over the winter so it's fine in the summer. Otherwise I got my nose done when I was 17, generic upper cartilage when I was 15 (did it myself, do not recommend), and I have my ears pierced a few times.

It didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would, there was quite a bit of blood (Maybe there was a mistake or lots of blood is just supposed to happen). Also the swelling can make you talk funny :P

I don't have any recent ones and my phone is currently rip, I can provide one when I next get access to a camera though. The dermals look good, do they hurt a lot or are they as easy to remove as other piercings though? I'm not an expert on piercings so it would help to know
i'd be interested in knowing the answer to this, too. i've ben considering it for a while.
As above it doesn't hurt very much, just in my case there was a bit of blood was all. It does feel quite uncomfortable when you just get it but you get more used to it after a bit. Also the swelling at start makes talking more difficult.

Thank you for all the information! Very much appreciate it :) I have been looking after my piercing a lot the last thing I want is an infection or something on my tongue, that sounds like a living Hell in the making. I don't know if I want another piercing with my mouth or lips yet but the septum looks pretty cool. I've been just smart enough to avoid spicy food, I could only imagine ;-;

I was on the verge of crying just before I got it because of how scared I was, you just got to force yourself to sit still. It is probably the least painful piercing you can get, but it still can hurt so I would probably suggest it for people who want to get their first piercing!

i have another question that i'm trying to keep purposely vague to conform with the rules. please do the same with your answer, or PM me if you think it's easier to explain that way.
i've heard it makes certain things you do with someone else more pleasurable. has that been your experience, or it it a myth? i can't really see how it would be better. it seems like it would be worse honestly.

Honestly, the only piercings I currently have are stretched ear lobes so I can't say much about them from first hand experience. I know a couple people that have had dermals though so I'll talk from their experiences. It depends on where you have them done, like any piercing, and how high your pain threshold is.
The idea of dermals is that they're a cross between a piercing and an implant. They're peirced through your skin so that they're not able to be removed and because of this your body tends to reject the piercing and it'll end up coming out that way (search up 'rejected dermals/piercing' to understand what I mean by that). It's the same as any piercing that doesn't go all the way through and out the other side e.g. hip, eyebrow, there's always a chance that your body could reject them. Like I said, I haven't had them so I'm not sure if it hurts if they are rejected, I assume that the piercing would become swollen and inflamed slightly, if not a lot, so probably. If you're asking about them being able to be removed I guess you want to be able to take them out? If that's the case, definitely don't get dermals. They're there until they reject or you get them removed.

I think piercings in general are going to hurt a lot. It really depends on your normal tolerance for pain, if you get a lot of needles or tattoos than something like a piercing isn't too bad.

Nope, not even my ears done. I can't get them done until like next summer now haha, my school is so strict and I will have to take them out and you have to keep it in for 6 weeks to heal. :(

It's usually for PE, like health and safety so ear lobes don't get ripped out. In our school we're not even allowed any other piercing apart from 1 ear lobe stud in each ear which I find laughable :what:

Yeah, in my PE class it's fine to have studs but no dangly jewelry. In cheerleading it's the same.
