Here's one friend that I love very much. We've been best friends for 6 years… but now we aren't that close… Well maybe it's because that we both don't have much time… we are about to graduate and homework's… but I'm scared. What if, we aren't close because it's part of growing up? you know, when you grow up you are loosing a friend and it has to be a natural… I'm scared that one day I'll loose her because we aren't that close, like we were in the past :/ Any help?

I am a sophomore in university right now, and I felt this way with a couple of my good friends right when we graduated highschool. I was afraid that we would lose touch and would not be able to see each other since we were not going to the same schools. But I found that to not be true, I am still very close friends with many of even my middle school friends (going to different high schools). Just be sure to know that you want to stay close, write eachother a lot (Snail mail is awesome!) Skype a lot, and be sure to make plans together whenever you have the chance!

Also one big thing is to do something big, fun, and memorable after highschool together like a road trip. I didn't do this with any of my good buddies, but wish that I did.
I am still pretty good friends with a lot of my close buddies, but the big thing is staying in contact, and making sure that they know you still care about them.

Transitions like graduating highschool are all about deciding which friends you do and don't want to stay in contact with. Just make sure to keep the good ones!
