I have been considering buying a jock strap, but how would I go about buying one and not getting caught?

Rather than being discrete becasue that just raises questions and makes it hard to wash and hid it why dont you just ask your parents for one...

As embarrassing as it might be, it'd be best to just ask your parents to buy you a jock strap. Honestly, it's better than having to ask them for condoms and lube, even if you knew they were cool parents and would readily get you some.

well you could ask your parents. you could go to the store to buy your own. or you could order one online. if they ask, just say you wanted to try wearing a jockstrap, I am guessing they are not going to have a problem with that

It might depend on what kind you're buying... If you're buying your typical athletic one from a sporting goods store, it's easy to just say it's for working out, a sport, gym class, whatever. No different than a girl getting sports bras. Parents might not "get it" with fashion ones, but it's just underwear, trends come and go, they've probably been there with other stuff!

Why you are hiding, just tell your parents to buy you one for more for sport purposes. Unless you dont play sport for work out. Just ask your dad to get less awkward, then your mom will know.

Do you want a sports jockstrap or a fashion jockstrap?

If it's for sports then it shouldn't be too big of an issue...Dick's or other sporting goods stores have them by Under Armour, Shock Doctor, and there are other options like compression shorts that have a pocket built in to hold a cup.

If you are looking for a fashion jock I can see that being a little more of a private issue. I don't know too many places that sell them in stores where you could pay cash but I do know a lot of online websites that sell them (mensunderwearstore.com, freshpair.com).

Let us know.

Getting caught? I don't quite understand what you mean. It's not exactly like it's a crime.

Well what I did is went to the store to get soda, then actually got soda, and the underwear as well. Used the self checkout and paid in cash. But the getting something else is important so your parents don't really question it.

Just go for it and either buy one yourself or get your parents to, i know its embarrassing but your parents have either done the same or worse at some point!

Oh ya thank god for the self checkouts ... makes it easy to buy one for sure. You'll be happy you got one.

If you are getting one for sports then I dont see where "getting caught" comes into play. Its something every guy gets at least once in his life. Its not like you are buying condoms or anything sexual in nature. Talk to your dad, uncle, big bro about it and maybe they can help you with getting one so its less awkward for you.
