A guy I have a big crush has shown major signs for while that he likes me back, but he just admitted it today:
b: him g: me
b: "Hey guess what..."
a: *me about to ask "what?"*
b "I like you.'
and because im the awkward person i am, because i was so surprised, i wasnt sure if he actually said it because of how subtle it was... when i asked him what he said he wouldnt repeat.. heh
anyway, i started thinking, what if he was my boyfriend?
i realised i didnt really want a boyfriend. i mean, middle school guys are awkward and middle school dating is awkward. i dont want to date anyone right now because i dont think id be comfortable lol
point is: If he says it again loud and clear, what do i do? if i say no, he'll think i dont like him and i wont have the chance to date him when im ready, but i dont know how i could say yes...

The answer is to take control of the relationship, in a mature way.

Don't stay silent though, guys might take that as rejection.

You need to decide what you expect out of a relationship from behavior of a partner, and make that clear to him.

(Don't blab about intimate secrets or details, aka: discretion etc.)

Define what cheating is etc.

Seize opportunities, you might not get another.

I'd respond to him with "well guess what? I'm interested. You free on (state a date and time) let's meet up and discuss where we go from here before we slap labels as boyfriend and girlfriend on each other".

No need to be so serious when it comes to dating, especially in the beginning.

"I like you"

Doesn't sound too subtle to me lmao
