I got a question. I know my body is done growing. And to be frank, I am perfectly fine with my body, except one thing. My body hair. And I am not talking facial hair, pit hair, pubes, or mildly hairy legs. I am talking about my chest. I feel like the long lost cousin of Chewbacca. And to be blunt. It is annoying like hell. I live on the gulf coast of Florida. It is warm, humid and sunny most of the time. And all this chest hair only makes it worse and on top of it it becomes a issue with body odor and the hair is dark brown. For you hairless guys, if you want a idea of what it is like. Wear a light sweater in the summer.

I have thought about shaving it, and it scares the hell of out me, besides the possibility of ingrown hair and the fact I may go through a pack of razors and a can of shaving cream.

Waxing sound a bit painful and from what I see there aren't any creams for this task.

So I ask, how can I get rid of this or at least tame this built in sweater.

If your comfortable talk to your parents about getting laser done, your hairless for a few months and its permenantly reduced and you can keep going back to keep reducing it. This is good but not permemant smooth just reduces it when it grows back so its thinner.

If you want a less permenant option an electric shaver will stop the problem of ingrown hairs and having to use a whole pack of razors, again ask your parents and get a quality one.

If odour is a real problem removign hair will help alot, its one of the reasons i trim my pits short i dont smell as much ever, or you can ask your Dr and get prescription deodourant and anti perspirant which is waaaaaaay better than other over the counter types.

I agree with Camo. Even I am quite hairy but not in the chest, in the pubes and pits. I just shave it. I recommend the Gillette Body as it is specifically built for manscaping, You might want to trim it first tho :D

I would suggest that you invest in a body hair groomer (http://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/BG2034_42/norelco-bodygroom-3100-wet-dry-body-groomer-series-3000) which really can help your situation. Because you live in a place where you will be out a lot and will most likely need to remove your hair periodically, then using an electric body hair groomer is the way to go. Not only is it cheap, but you don't have to worry about cutting yourself like you would with razors or literally go through cans of shaving cream.

I would say for the time being make sure to keep yourself clean and invest in a good body wash since you have a lot of hair so that you do not have issues with body odor. Since you live in a hot state you might need to take a full shower after gym class because of your hair, and you might need to shower when you get home if you sweat a lot.

I would like to have a little of that problem. I am more on the hairless side of the spectrum which is okay with my gf but I'd like to have more to show in the locker room.

Get a body groomer from Amazon, walgreens, or CVS. It's like an electric razor but designed for your body. They come with several guards so you can trim or take the guard off for a close cut. No nicks, no cuts. I use mine all the time!

Ur 14 and look like a gorilla???

My dad uses a body shaver that he got from Walmart
for like $15-tho don't know the brand-it works well.
If the hair bothers u that much ask ur dad or parent
for a shaver.

I cant wait for some chest hair.

i can't wait for this! I would love a light covering of smooth, dark brown body hair. as long as its not curly then it would be great...
Learn to live with it? maybe love it? there's alot you can do but wouldn't you be happier if you could be happier with yourself? maybe you can go to therapy or something...but that might be more expensive, hair isnt a bad thing remember that! some girls really like it

I think an electric razor is the best option
