BJ- Myth or Truth?

Howdy -
And pardon my lack of experience. I don't really want to ask some of my "seasoned" personal friends this - but how real-world is getting/giving a BJ? Most of what happens in porn is idealized and only really ever strikes me as something that happens in porn. BJs have always struck me as that.. I don't see any attraction to it from the female side and it doesn't seem like something anyone would actually do.
So, is it? Does it actually happen? Is it as great as it seems?

Yes it really happens!!!
As far as the female point of view , for me the pleasure I get from giving a BJ is for the most part knowing I'm doing something that feels good for someone I care about. Sure there are other feelings that come in to play.
