What's your opinion of Tinder? Do you have any experiences with it?
I'm just curious.

I have no personal experience, but from what I understand it is technically a dating site, however it's reputation is more for people looking to have one night stands with rather than relationships.

Like Gumleaf said, it's a dating app. The special thing about it is that you look at pictures of random people who live in your area and then decide whether or not you are interested it in them. When two people liked the other persons profile it's a "match" and they can start chatting.

It is, actually. But if you're under 18 years old Tinder only suggests users who are minors as well.

Yeah, I'm just surprised at how many people use it as opposed to online dating sites... Maybe apps are better .

I've been on tinder. Wasn't really looking for sex or a relationship but just checking out the hype. What I figured out is that where you live is 100% going to effect your experience. I live in a city with a ton of high schools, 2 universities, and is a tourist destination so there's a pretty good selection of people. I'd imagine it would be a bit harder to match in more rural areas. I only matched with a couple people and they ended up being cool...we just talk a little online met up on campus but that's about it besides seeing them at big parties and events.
A really good friend of mine from high school actually moved to California for school and met the love of his life on tinder lol crazy but true.
Most all my other friends just look for quick hookups on there tho...like most people

this is a great answer. most people are looking just for something quick, but there is a possibility you could find something which may last a life time

I tried Tinder for a minute to see what it was like. I wasn't really impressed. I live in a pretty small town though.

I installed Tinder on my phone by curiosity using a fake Facebook profile. It was fun to troll some people :P
