I know it seems weird for a 14 year old to wonder what she's going to become, but I can say I only have 3 years left of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life because in my last two years of highschool I HAVE TO know what I'm going to study and where.
I'm in my last year of middle school, I'm preparing for the national exam and then join one of the best highschools (still have to decide between two of them) where I'll study mostly Maths, IT, Physics etc. I'm a 10/10 student, or a straight A if you want, I have results in regional olympiads in 3 subjects: English, Romanian and Maths. (Olympiads are like contests in any subject, way above what you learn in school. Anyone can join) and I'm pretty hardworking and willing to study, even if it's just memorising.

The way things look now, I'm going to be shipped to a very good college abroad, maybe even on a different continent (hopefully with a scholarship) right after finishing high school.
I like Maths and the subjects that are heavily relied on logic, at first I wanted to become and architect (I can handle drawing pretty well), but I don't really like the idea so much anymore. My parents are both engineers, so I wondered why I couldn't become one too? This idea didn't sound great either. I could even put some more effort and study medicine, but I don't even know anymore.

To keep my grades up, I have to study a lot for every single subject. I think I may have lost sight of what I really like because of that. As of right now, nothing attracts me and my parents aren't helping at all.

It's not uncommon not to know at all; and you don't have to! Even if at the very end you do not know, you can follow someone's advice, do something that you think you'll enjoy, or do something that's just practical.

I know exactly how you feel, but you don't have to plan everything out. A lot of people don't decide what they'll study untill the very last minute.

I have an uncle that always says: Lacey, you can marry more money in a minute than you can make in your entire life. But I am joking about that. Ideal is to find something you like to do. I think you would be a great teacher or professor!

I'm 17, applying for colleges and still have no idea what I'm going to do, so all I can tell you is that it's not just you.

You shouldn't worry so much. I'm a year older than you and I have no idea what I want to do either. The same goes for a lot of people, including those older than the both of us.

I'm 18, starting college in January, and I still don't know what I want to do! And that's just part of the process. Eventually, you'll find something that strikes your fancy and you'll try to apply yourself to it.
For me, I think I want to go to nursing school to get my NP or PA-C, as that doesn't require as much work and pressure as getting an MD (I don't think I would make a good doctor lol). But if that doesn't work out, I'll explore other interests of mine. It's ok to not know. You're 14. Your focus right now should be surviving high school and having a good time. :)

I don't think its weird, I can relate; when I was 14 I was already thinking about my future and what I wanted to do in life and I'm still thinking about it at 16. It's definitely good to have at least some idea of where you want to go after highschool, but maybe don't start making plans yet. You've still got a couple of years in school, and from the looks of it you're a hardworker and very smart. Don't ever lose confidence in your abilities - keep up the hard work and if anyone ever tells you that you're not good enough ignore them and keep chasing your dreams. At different stages we'll go through different passions and interests, its okay to like a variety of things, and its also okay to be unsure of yourself. These things take time to develop, as you grow up you'll discover things you really love. But enjoy highschool while it lasts, and make sure you balance fun and hard work. We all deserve time to relax and destress~

Honey, nobody knows what they want to do (ok some lucke individuals, but they are rare). See where your life takes you. Chose a high school from wich you can proceed to a weriety of universetis.
