Unbelievably, this is actually believable. People come in all extremes. I know kids at school who I can believe that about. The combination of rampant, punitive fundamentalism and a naturally low sex drive might cause such a thing. I can't imagine it for myself but I can believe they (don't) do that.

this is true. while most guys do indeed masturbate, it is possible he never started masturbating when his hormones may have been highest in puberty and simply never really got into it. there are people out there who have not done it. most have, but some haven't

I can't think of anyone who has denied masturbating to my face recently. That was not always the case - there was a time when quite a few guys in my class denied it when I know I was doing and so were at least a couple of friends who were a bit more open to talk about such things. I think there came a time, almost like reaching a critical mass, where guys just started to be honest about it.

On the other hand I don't belong to a religion that prohibits it. If I did, and if those around me also did, I could see that guys might continue to lie about it (as in denying it) for very much longer.

Someone mentioned asexuality as an explanation and the Wikipedia article on asexuality puts the prevalence of asexuality in the British population at 1%. If no-one who identified as asexual masturbated that would put the chances of meeting a pubescent or post-pubescent guy who doesn't at about 1 in 100. The Wikipedia article also suggests that absence of masturbation is not universal for asexuals - for some asexuality may mean never getting aroused but for others it may be getting aroused but never about the prospect of sex with another person and certainly not enough to seek out sex with another person.

It is true. Some guys have not jerked off before because they either do not know how or because they do not get urges like the rest of us. I would say it is more common for a girl to not masturbate than a guy because guys need to get rid of semen regularly to produce healthy sperm. If anything he still gets it out via wet dreams. My friend did not jerk off until he was 17 when I showed him. He was so grateful, he does it every day :)

What can you really say to that? If he says he doesnt do it, can you really call him a liar only because you know that you and 30 other people are doing it? No, you dont know what goes on behind his closed doors and maybe he really doesnt. There are people in the world that arent as sexually minded as most of us, so its a possibility. Give him the benefit of a doubt and let it be.

This. I have one friend who I believe. He is "just that kind of guy". He doesn't lie about much and definitely this type of thing. I would call BS on most guys and some girls (a lot more girls don't masturbate than guys it would seem) and I have called BS to most of their faces but this guy is different. He is religious and not much of a liar.

Well, there are those in the minority who do not masturbate. The reason being is either they have low sexual desires or it is against their religion to participate in any kind of premarital sexual act. As unbelievable is it may sound, some people are like that. Believe me, there's no reason whatsoever for him to lie about it, so that means he's most likely telling the truth.
