Recolonize the Arab world.

Sure: The French could take back Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. The Spaniards could have Morocco back. The British could go back into Egypt - they're still pissed off about Suez. The Turks could have Syria and Jordan back and I'm sure the Israelis would like to have Lebanon.

You'd have to let the Russians and the Chinese in on the action, otherwise they would make trouble. The Chinese could take Pakistan, they've been cozy with them in the past and they have long experience in keeping populations under control. The Russians deserve Iraq and Iran - serves them right. Without an ouitside power to equip and finance insurgencies they would quickly die out.

Close off Afghanistan, let the warlords fight it out: they've been doing that since Alexander the Great and every colonial power since has gotten it's ass kicked out.

The Saudis and Kuwaitis behave themselves as long as we buy their oil. Saudi could annex Yemen and keep an eye on the Bin Ladens.

Maybe the Italians could be persuaded to go back to Somalia. One chaos deserves another.

The Americans could mind their own business for a change. Besides, our constitution prohibits colonies, supposedly.

Oh my dear lemons no. What?? How is this a great idea? Do we feel some self-righteous popmpous pride mixed with imperialist arrogance which gives us some justification for playing with the middle east like a sandbox? Sounds like Game of Thrones all over again. I have next to no agreement whatsoever with America's anti-colony constitution. The middle east is in a huge mess because of their fucking half-religious invasion since 9/11. The west is no white horse by any means. Attempting to do this is effectively asking for having more suicide bombers arriving in your cities.

I feel like former British colonies (S.A., India, US, Nigeria) have a lot of corruption and former French colonies (Syria, West Africa, Haiti) have a lot of instability. Maybe it's unfounded but that is what I believe. If you became an overseas "département" of France, then you would end up like French Guyana so I don't know if that is a good option. Another option is to come to Detroit we have lots of you Lebanese folk anyways.

I wouldn't support recolonizing, but we certainly never should have given them their own countries in the first place. (Israel is one of those countries that never should have been created)
