Hey girls.

I would like to know what you think of menstrual cups, if you have any experiences with them. And how to choose the right brand? I'm a little lost...

Looking forward to your feedback!! :)

I've heard of them and I think it's an amazing concept.
But since tampons don't even work for me, I don't think menstrual cups are something I should consider right now. xD

I've heard of them but I think it's not suitable for me because I'm a virgin.

Wait, what? What does one have to do with the other?

I've heard of them and they sound like a great idea. I'm still a little squeamish about using tampons though so maybe once I'm older and more comfortable with the whole idea, I'll give it a shot.

I just know of them from the internet, but for the same reason that Claire said they would not be suitable for me. :)

I've heard of them, and they are extremely Eco-friendly. However I'm not sure how I feel about sticking a cup up my vagina, catching the blood, emptying it and reusing it. It's not for me, but I mean it has its benefits

You're a pad person?

Wow this is interesting, a cup in your vagina. How on earth does is work exactly?
If you put it in there how do u get it out without spilling the blood everywhere. Is there a string. How big is it? Sound weird and uncomfortable.

You're a pad person?
(I read that as "pod person" at first and I was about to ask what was so weird about me :whoops:)

But yeah. I just find it quicker and easier, plus none of the stress that putting a tampon in gives me. I'm an incredibly anxious person, so the risk of TSS and all that drives me crazy.

Also worth noting, for all you virgins who think a menstrual cup is unsuitable for you: virginity has nothing to do with how suitable a menstrual cup is or isn't for you. One has no effect on the other.

I'm such a pad person too, so I can't really contribute.

Like Elysium, I'm also extremely paranoid about TSS and I just can't tampon to be honest.

I heard of menstrual cups from the Internet and their benefits because you can reuse them and stuff like that, but I never usually see them if I'm out shopping where the pad and tampon section is so I don't even know what they look like, much less how much they cost, etc. xD

There's a lot about them on the web, even for contraception. They are not for me (at least, not now) but they seem like a practical idea, without the risk of TSS.

Menstrual cup is nothing but a sanitary product and used while menstruating. It is far safer than pads and tampons as there are negligible chances of leakage. They come in various sizes and being made up of silicon they are skin friendly. You can use them for longer time. There are many online stores which sell menstrual cups like cupissima (http://www.cupissima.com/index_fr.html#section-home), lunette, diva cup, etc.
