View Full Version : Balls when cycling

I cycle to get to school and it's normally very cold and it gets uncomfortable to cycle with the saddle because sometimes my testicles are hanging (not close to the body).

How can I get my balls to be close to my body when cycling? Is it a bad thing that my balls do not shrink up? They do in normal life, but just I notice not always

I prefer to wear boxer briefs as my normal underwear. I wouldn't like to change into something especially for cycling, so is there something I could wear that would be alright throughout the day as well?

Compression shorts might help, they keep everything in place, maybe for your cycling too

Your balls go up when its cold and when its hot they hangg so its not really controllable as a result i would just wear compression shorts or a jock strap but you may find tighter underwear will be good enough.

On the bike its self i know there are such things as male and female bike seats that help the comfortably and i got mine changed and it was soo much better for longer term rides.

Tighter underwear may help you. I tend to have that problem. Since its almost winter here your balls do go up.

Wear briefs..Unlike boxer briefs they keep your stuff higher up cos briefs dont have space towards your butt.

Wearing a tighter pair of underwear can help keep them in place so they aren't uncomfortable when riding. As mentioned before, compression shorts could be a good way to help

ya you usually wear nothing under bicycle shorts. If your just wearing gym shorts prob. briefs or a nice jock works too. Especially if your doing trail riding / mountain biking.

i get that too, not much in with the cold weather but in the summer time when biking i have to wear compression shorts or tight boxer briefs or briefs otherwise my balls r flopping around and uncomfortable running a bike.

I cycle a lot and have had this problem before. I solved it by wearing compression shorts and nothing else underneath it. It may feel weird at first but you have way more freedom to move around and no more wedgies lol. They are also tight enough to solve that problem. They feel comfortable enough for me to wear throughout the day. It also soaks up sweat. just make sure to put an extra layer of deodorant or something though if you go pretty far.

I don't think it's really a big deal

the jock under cycling shorts just keeps ya better aligned . I hate the way the cycle shorts have no support. but super tight around my legs. almost have to wear a jock other wise ill crush my stuff bad on the seat.

Yep, there are special seats for guys. I have one for racing. More padding in certain spots and different shape. But you will need to wear something besides boxers while you ride, like compression shorts or cycling shorts. Changing in the bathroom or locker room at school should not be that big a problem.

definitely wear a tighter pair of boxer briefs, if your balls are hanging low while in your boxer briefs then they may be a bit too loose. Your boxer briefs should fit you like a snug pair of briefs and keep your balls closer to your body and not freely hanging.
