Hello, I have been reading into what happens when an employer does a criminal record check, more familiarly called a DBS check in the UK.
On the website I was looking at, it says "Police intelligence may be included where it is relevant to the employer"
What sort of Police intelligence could be included if they were to include that as well?

Well it may concern the job you are applying for.
Example : If a huge part of your job consists in driving they might be interested by the number of driving related infringements you've had.
Generally it is just a guarantee to be sure you're not a motherfucking serial killer psychopath cannibal. So as long as you never did anything "really" bad it should be ok.
There are different levels of DBS check, with local information from the police etc.

Here in the states, it's relative to what kind of job you want. If you're applying to be a teacher or work in a school, your driving record isn't as relevant as any record of misconduct you have with kids/spouses/friends. If you want to fly an airplane, you have to not have any known links to terrorism and you have to be relatively clean elsewhere

I'm guessing the same. They will just be checking anything job relevant.

A DBS or CRB check is to see if you have a criminal record. CRB is the old term for it and is more explanatory - Criminal Records Bereau
