So my best friend is a bit of dick to begin with and I'm ok with that but this last few weeks I haven't been able to handle him as well. He will usually make some kind of joke and I'll just be fine with it but lately I've been getting insulted by them. He wasn't always a an asshole but he went through some tough times the past few years that changed him a lot. He isn't as happy as he used to be. But how rude he has been has constantly been on my mind. Last time I said something he just said I was sensitive. I want to say something to him but I'm afraid to because I don't want to risk losing him for this. What should I do

As I wrote this it came to mind that maybe there is something bothering him because especially today things just did not seem right with him. Is this a possibility.

Say it like you mean it Ryan. He's not your friend if he keeps being a dropkick to you. If there is something bothering him, he would have come to you sooner.

I'd be straight up front with him and tell him how you feel and why
If he ignores your feelings then he's not really a friend, so I'd take a look at that relationship
