Why do guys show off in front of girls? Do they feel like it makes them look better?
Why does my crush get all loud and "crazy" when I'm around, and often looks at me just like to see my reaction? I can't help but notice how many times he stares at me.

Some guys like to be the center of attention. He wants to see how you will react. I prefer to have deep conversations with others than to be loud and crazy. He has a lot of energy. You either accept him for who he is or tell him that you want to see another side of him.

Depends, but the default answer is he's human and he's looking for approval.

So far it's kind of working but it sounds like he doesn't see a reaction out of you towards his actions so he thinks well "I'll try this next".

And no offense, I think your too involved in your own "self-talk" in your head, about what this or that means, that you fail to take action and your missing cues of when you should drop him a compliment to indicate you've noticed.

I normally show off my yu-gi-oh card collection or wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth impress girls a lot(though only the girls that don't have wisdom teeth yet).
Compliments are scary for me, that is why I never use any. <_>

Why do they show off? To get them interested... not in their interests but in their personalities. It's similar to bragging about how fuckin' cool I am.

I think it's because we are idiots and don't know what to do. I try not to get involved in that, but there I am with my friends embarrassing myself. I allow myself to get sucked into it.
