This girl Alyssa that I work with is so cute. She is short, kind, and funny. She looks a lot like Cho Chang from Harry Potter. For the past few months, we have made small talk here and there. But more recently we have become closer by joking around together. Just last week there were balloons in the lost and found that we were exploring. One was shaped into a sword and she laughed as she poked me with it. It tickled me and I asked her to cut it out in a funny way which made her laugh more. Every time she sees me at work she has the biggest smile and says Hi. On one other occasion, we were outside and she was standing close beside me. I noticed it because her jacket was pressing against my arm. I pulled away and she got even closer. It was to the point where our hands were about to touch. I think it is a sign. I think she is being playful, but she does way more to make it seem like she is flirting. How do I know whether it is flirting or if she is just being playful? Thanks for your help.

From the sounds of it, seeing as she is becoming progressively more open and 'tactile' in terms of what she is doing towards you, I think it could be flirting. The fact that she appears that happy when you're in work shows the influence you're having over her, and I think you should try and reciprocate the actions she's making towards her - see where things go :P

Pssst. Those two are almost the same things.

Generally if she mimicks your movements or touches you herself then it's obvious flirting.
