I'm in what my school called elementary school. My school goes to grade 8. Most public schools have middle school, which would be grades 6-8. So next year I'll be a freshman in highschool. I'm not at a point in school I can really choose much yet. What classes I was able to choose I had to take a real class so I could catch up
But I don't think I've really learned anything that Id wana pursue but in another forum I was asked what I'd like to be when I grow up, think I'd like to be a teacher

Private/public schools and religion schools here are different, but state schools in my area all start high school in year 9
