Pit hair

Why is my armpit hair taking so long to grow in?? It's kinda annoying. As of now it's thin, light brown strands. I have pubes but no one could ever notice. I feel like pit hair it the first thing people visually notice. I've started to smell within the last few months from my pit area, so I assume it could come in soon.

Can any one relate?

Is there any way to speed it up?

It depends on your body or family. My friend had his first armpit hair at 12, I did not get mine until I was 15.

I used to be like that where my pit hair was only visible to me because I was right next to it but then it starts to come in more and more until finally you have a full out of hair so just be patient it will come

I am a senior and I was the student leader for service day with 12 freshmen boys. The job we did was nasty so we all had to take showers afterwards. Yes, I was looking and not perving, but I was amazed at the different stages of puberty these 12 kids were in. They were all over the board in terms of development. Some were completely hairless below their heads, others were much further along. This was clearly first hand proof that everyone develops at their own pace and time.

I started to get my pit hair around 15 even though I had a full bush by 12. Now they're pretty hairy so you shouldn't worry too much!

I can relate, for me it started the same way, but eventully it'll grow thicker. Unfortunately there's no way to speed up puberty.

Some people grow hair faster and sooner than others. It doesn't really take me long to grow hair anywhere except my face

Mine's taking a while to thicken but it is still very long, dark and noticeable. As for armpit hair being the first thing to notice, it was the last for me.

Isn't pit hair a nuisence..I've got pit hair (I shave them for hygine) and pubes (trimmed)...But I relly need some tummy /chest hair...Esp cos my skinny tummy has got a new layer of fat on it and without any hair to "cover it up" it has started to look like a small belly...

And chest hair would've cover up the small mboobies I've got recetnly on my flat chest.

:confused:Yeah, my hair is a dissapointment..I've got only pubes and pit hair + I shave my face every days.....On head I had longish hair since I was a kid ...then my mom got me to have a short crop whn my skinny kid face got a bit rounder....to my horror my hair is very scanty..and now not growing slow...:(

I'm not sure but I may go bald like dad....He enter uni a skinny guy with long hair and by the time he graduated he was sporting a pot belly and was balding..

Once I go to college and may be gain unavoidable freshman pound I'm going to shave my ugly mop-top off..

I'm fourteen and have a bunch of pit hair. I was kind of surprised and excited at first but it got normal. It all came suddenly and all at once

pit hair may seem like something you want but once it starts growing fast and full you learn that with the maintenance is annoying

It depends on your body or family. I have very little pit hair but have a full bush and a heap on my testicles one of my brothers has heap of pit hairs

Let me throw my hat in. I am 14, I have a brother who is 15 who has no chest hair, his pit hair started not even a year ago. His pubic hair started right before his 14th birthday, he shaves his chin and upper lip about twice a month, and his leg hair only started to darken.

As for me, pubic hair started before my 12th birthday and it covered everything (lower shaft, scrotum and pubic region) before my 13th birthday. I started getting chest hair and pit hair when I was 12. And I had to shave twice a week when I was 13, now it is every other day.

My brother is thin as a rail, almost no body fat and he eats constantly and doesnt exercise.

I am large framed, I exercise constantly (biking (mountain and road, climbing, swim and dive) I don't eat nearly as much as he does and I have a hard time keeping the fat off.

Point is this. Even though my brother and I are from the same parents, everybody has different rate of physical maturity, metabolism, height and size. And there isn't anything anyone can do except be patient.

You will get hair in all the normal places, you may not get as much as someone else. But you will get hair.

Everyone develops differently I got pubes at 10 and by 11 had a bush. I didn't get pit hairs til I was 17

I've personally noticed more sweat from my arm pit hair. I say just let it grow. No worries!
