Do you own a jockstrap?
If you do, do you only wear it for sport or do you wear it as casual wear as well?

Lol who would wear it for casual wear? Me and practically all my teammates on football never wear cups on gameday.

I have not owned a jock strap since I was 11. Who still does?

I would think games would be the one and only time you would want to wear a cup! I hear stories of how when your on the bottom of a fumble pileup that guys pull and twist and punch your junk so they can take the football away from you. So do you wear jocks at practice then?

I wore a Jock (with cup) my one and only year of playing football in 7th grade and brought it to one basketball camp (just Jock, no cup). It was the one any only camp that said jocks were mandatory so I brought it even though I've never used it for basketball before that. Obviously nobody there checked to see that you were wearing it so I didn't wear it. Most guys didn't. Only a few did.

Still have some but don't wear them, compression shorts like underarmor are better and they have a cup pouch in them. Only wear them for sports though.

naw i just wear tighter underwear or compression shorts for sports. If someone wanted to wear it for sports i wouldn't think anything of it. as far as casual wear though, if you really wanted to you could, but they got more designer brands for people who want to o that

I have a few jockstraps - they are all the regular pouch kind (no cup), for running and working out. I haven't had a cup jock since I was like 12 and played catcher in baseball. I wouldn't really want to wear something that tight for regular underwear, personally.

We are required to wear jockstraps for gym here. Plus they make sure we wear them too because we have to pull up a strap.

Yeah, I wear them both athletically and casually. I have a bike brand one I use for marching band and then I have two Diesel brand jocks for casual underwear. I personally like how they feel, but my parents and school(friends) don't quite accept them as underwear

i used to wear a jockstrap under my compression shorts for baseball. The compressions just didnt hold the cup right and it always twisted and turned. idk what it was.

I've worn a jock and cup felt awkward at first but use to it now. I wore it once as underwear and when my stepdad seen the waistband he yelled at me and told me to go change out of it.

Not even at practice people would wear it. It's sort of awkward and rarely do you get hit in the nuts even then people expect you to fight pain.

do they really critique you on the underwear you are wearing? tell them it is good for sports/working out (or if you want to wear them whenever, tell them it is what you want to wear)

They are weirded out by it. I have like 12ish pairs of AE and my mom told my I have an underwear fetish in a bad tone. But I just laughed it off so yeah. Idk

lol nothing wrong with having lots of clean/good underwear. as far as them being weirded out, I mean, I would not walk around the house in a jock strap when they are there, but if that is what you want to wear during the day (esp some of the more stylish ones) that is totally up to you

I mean I wouldn't walk around in a jock strap all the time. briefs/boxer briefs/ etc is one thing, because everything is covered. It is one thing to not to have to cover up totally after the shower to put on your underwear or whatever, but your room mate should not have to see your bare ass all the time, unless the two of you agree it is no big deal (in which case, the two of you may decide you can walk around nude which is nothing wrong with as long as you both agree)

haha well sure, but your more comfortable with being nude around others in general. I am too. not everyone is though. but, at least if it covers the very basics, it should not be a big deal. but it doesn't mean you still can't wear them, just maybe not hang out in just them (or in nothing at all)

some are naturally more at ease about it. while I am perfectly fine being nude, i wouldn't just strut around nude if I had a roommate, I would still wear at least underwear if I wasn't changing or something like that for the most part. some guys don't care about being seen nude, some get shy about being seen in their underwear with a shirt on. it is all about different levels of comfortableness and shyness

I wear a jock when I run, go to the gym. For casual, it'd be too tight and uncomfortable for me, I'd rather be in boxers.

I have one for swimming, made to fit under a speedo. Not really needed just for swimming, but an absolute necessity for diving.

Also have a regular one and a cup one for running and soccer. Running is okay with just a good pair of briefs (not loose ones) but definitely need protection for soccer, with people's feet going everywhere.

Compression, without question! It's a weird feeling to have thin fabric running across your butt cutting off circulation almost, it's weird if people can see thru your shorts, and it's weird to wear a jock in the locker room showing your open butt.

Daniel4
November 20th, 2015, 05:35 PM
ya but I think they are way better support, give better lift and of course cooler to wear then compression. My legs feel more free running. Why should anyone care if your changing into one at the locker room anyway? Not like you walk around in them. lol

To be honest, I didn't know what one was today, either. Now that I searched one up online, I can definitely say no.

ya you just gotta wear a good fitting jock a couple of times then you realize how nice they really fit, support, and feel. Guarantee you'll never go back! I just hate compression shorts they are hot and smoother me when I'm running. I like my legs to be more free.
