Hey so I'm 14 and I know this is a really dumb question but I have a small mustache and little beard hair and I want to shave but I dont have the shaving things to do it. Should I just ask my dad to get me stuff to shave or what? Sorry this is a really dumb question

Yup pretty much. And it's not a dumb question :P

I usually just get double bladed razors and some generic shaving cream.

You can try gels and foam if you REALLY want to. But I cut myself a LOT when I used gel.

Other than that, just make sure your face is moist if you decide to go do it, and get a decent covering of cream on everything. It essentially prevents the razor from getting too close to your skin and cutting yourself.

And always use WARM water.

Ya I just used my dad's stuff until I needed to shave more regularly. that way I was able to try different ways/styles and could decide what I liked.

Good for you for deciding to start shaving. Yes, ask your dad to help you select the tools. That is a nice son father bonding event.

haha yep, no problem asking him. he will totally get it. it is likely he will even teach you how to shave

Best advise I've ever read... Really, just talk to dad, he'll probably be pretty pumped you asked him

I think your question is fine, and it is not dumb.

I agree with the others that you are best off asking your father about shaving and for him to help you. Shaving for the first time by yourself is not a good idea, and get help your first couple of times because it takes practice. There is nothing wrong asking for help, and don't feel embarrassed because you're 14 which is when a lot of guys start shaving anyway.

Ask your dad or your mom. My dad was not around when I started shaving. I taught myself how to shave

My dad taught me when I turned 14. Now I do it by myself.

It's not a dumb question - I made a few threads about it. I just use my dad's things to shave when I need to.
