Help with coat size please

Ok, so I have this coat I want to buy but I am not too sure on what size to get (if this post is in the wrong section I'm sorry please move it)

The size guide says that small is 87cm (chest size) and medium is 91cm.

I am 88cm.

Should I get the small as it is closer in size and will probably fit me a lot better, or the medium to give me room to grow.

The coat is a tad on the expensive side so I am not getting a new one the second I grow out of it.

I know this is not the most major problem in the world but I would greatly appreciate any help.

Id say go for the medium as you said, to give you room to grow. It would last you longer, seeing as you said its a bit expensive. This is just my opinion, though!

Well if you've only got 1cm spare in it I'd go bigger. Its a coat and you may want to layer up underneath it.

But some clothes are cut so wierd that they may be loose or tight in other places depending on the make. I have clothes from Zara that are one size but the same size in Next sizes are way bigger.

As it turns out I am bad at measuring so am 84cm rather than 88cm. So I will be getting the small; but thanks for the help anyway:)

Go for a slightly larger size.
The reason being that you're still in puberty and you can grow more at any given day so if you do, you'll still fit the coat and depending on the brand, as some are smaller where some are larger even though they may both say, for example: "Size - XL"

If you are still not done growing, I say go for the medium size so it can last longer. Also, if it is currently a tad bit too big wear layers or sweaters underneath. :)
