Break the Ice

I am terrible at breaking the ice. Although I am a talented actor at school, I cannot get out of my shell and speak to girls that I like. I usually blush and speak gibberish when I talk to them. I just need help breaking the ice. I am not sure how to strike up a conversation and keep it flowing without the awkward silence. Any advice?

Talking about book that u just read. Or maybe you can simply using nonverbal body language to get more attention from her. Ask her to go lunch drink or something. I think breaking the ice is nonverbal job.

I always find it helps by just talking about very general things which can lead to opinions and allow you to explore a person's personality further. You can talk about the things you definitely know you have in common like certain classes or even school in general.
