Butters Stotch would call it "what, what, in the butt." It is normal to have butt hair. Some guys are born hairy and some guys might never grow hair there.

Oh yeah..I got a few..those used to make cleaning after poo hard giving me embarrasing skid marks on my undies....whn I was thin and virtually butt-less....Thankfully now my butt has got much rounder and those frigging hairs are deeper in..

I just shave, but be REALLY careful about it. Otherwise you get welts and those REALLY suck.

It's normal to have hair around the anus. I wouldn't recommend shaving because the hairs will irritate the skin from having the buttocks touch each other constantly.

That's not always true, my girlfriend has some, but not too much, it's normal to have it, but some like to trim or shave it. It is more common in guys, but girls do have it too.

True to be technically correct we actually have tiny hair all over out body just some in more defined locations. I was making a general statement.

I think most people just call it pubic hair. I used to shave it because I had so much of it but it just grew back in literally like a day so I stopped.

I think people are confused. The OP clearly said hair on/around the anus which is the technical term for butthole. So it's not pubic hair, cuz the butthole is nowhere near the pubic area. Like Camo114 said we have hairs all over our bodies, most of which we can't see. There is probably 4 areas a person could get hair in their "bathing suit area": obviously pubes (around the genitals), taint hair (hair between the genitals and the butt), butt cheek hair, and butthole hair. Girls probably have hair in the same 4 places but are usually less hairy than guys. I'm blond so you can't really see my butt cheek hair, I shave any taint hair I have when I trim my pubes, and to the best of my knowledge don't have any noticeable butthole hair.
