I think my dad smokes

I've been suspicious for a while. He always come in the house smelling like smoke, and whenever we come home, he doesn't go in with me. Sometimes he goes out to "make calls' and he disappears from sight. I finally decided to go outside and find out where he goes to make calls. I found a lot of used cigarettes on the ground and matches. How do I deal with this? He obviously doesn't want me to know.

Your dad probably doesn't want to be a bad example, so he hides it. Even though it's a bad habit, I say leave it alone. Your dad's a big boy, and he can make his own decisions.

just leave your dad be. be thankful he is not smelling up the house by smoking outside. it is a bad habit, but at least he is doing it away from everyone. plus he is an adult. as bad of a habit it is, it is his decision to make
