Hi :) I was looking through this forum and was amazed by the number of threads on masturbation and penises. I feel no need to post stuff about that but there are many other things that puberty affects like voice (which there is very very little) and growth spurts
Was just wondering why this was
thanks :)

Probably because things like voice changes and growth spurts aren't as embarrassing to talk about in person and are also more likely to be talked about in more detail in health classes than masturbation and other sex topics.

I reckon that is the case because guys are more worried and self conscious about their penises than their height or voice, cause they worry that girls(or guys) wouldn't like what they are packing. You don't see many guys asking if they're too tall or are their voices too deep, as most guys don't think that is an issue.

Guys worry about their dicks more than their voices.

its true, when you go along these threads, page by page, its always the same things over and over again. I agree with the person above about the fact that it is something people are least likely to talk about in person. People will notice and talk about height and voice changes and stuff and its less awkward to ask about it.
i'd like to see a more diverse set of threads on here actually. :/ oh well

Yes. I think Mark (oops) has got that just right. The things that are difficult to discuss openly without it becoming cringy and embarrassing, are the things that get brought up on VT. So because there is less openness about such things as penis size and masturbation, guys get more worried and see VT as a safe place to talk with people going through the same issues.
(Sorry Marc! :P)

It might be down to the fact that us teens are basically a bunch of wankers

Very well said Marc. This forum provides a place for people to ask questions that they otherwise would be embarrassed/ashamed of asking in real life.

A man's penis is like his own personal prized possession. But I bet it's just that the talk of puberty with others in public in more awkward than on the internet.

I can understand that being embarrassing to talk about but it is almost like the records stuck :) It just seems to be the same things each time
Over here we spend plenty of time talking about penises but that may be different in other countries I suppose
thanks for the responses though :)
