Like/hate the taste of alcohol?

I personally hate the taste. I've tried champagne and wine hoping for a little better flavor but no dice. My dad offered me a sip of white wine at a wedding and I nearly spit it out. Guess it's because I'm female. I'm drinking a Mike's at the moment and it's rather nice, the bite is barely there. Anyway, for those of you who drink more, do you just get used to the taste over time or what?

Also, being a roughly 5'10", 180-lb female, am I likely to be a lightweight? Because I really don't want to be buzzed from this drink when my mom comes home. 5% alcohol won't have much of an effect, right?

To be honest I only like the taste of very specific alcohols, like the Venezuelan Rum Orange or Oporto wine, which is sweet, I can also tolerate some chilean wine. The taste of alcohol in general isn't very appealing for me though.

I've only had sips of beer, and sips of stuff like strawberry daiquiri, which was really good.

Mmm I like the taste of alcohol. I don't really drink any types of beer except Corona, or wines (unless I'm at a wedding). I like Vodka, whiskey, brandy, and veryveryvery few rums, mostly the imported brands. I also like fruity drinks like Daquiris.

Ugh I cant stand the taste of pure alcohol. I try and mix it till 20 proof then hold my nose while I chug it. It really helps with the taste

I absolutely hate the taste of alcohol, but I like the way it makes me feel so I pretty much chug the stuff down when I drink to get it over with fast.

Champagne and wine come in many different styles, you've probably had the more bitter stronger stuff, both can taste pretty good in my opinion if its sweeter. I prefer the more fruity stuff, beer is not my thing, whiskey is alright mixed with something.

You could be on the lightweight side, but drinking a Mike's shouldn't get you even buzzed unless you have no food in your stomach.

Anything I've ever drank I started drinking it because I liked the taste of it.

Excluding stuff like shots/vodka...

But beer, wine, whiskey, ciders, liquors etc.. If it doesn't taste good to me there's no point drinking it. If I just wanted to get drunk I would just look to whatever is the cheapest thing that I can swallow. That being said just getting drunk is a worthless activity.

Also bear in mind ye illegal underages drinkers... Your tastebuds and brain are still developing how you perceive flavors can change very drastically from 16-21. Especially so with stronger flavors and bitter flavors.

Alcohol tastes horrible. Why do you think they mix it with all the juices and good tasting stuff? It is more about the effects of it. It is a drug like any other so be careful.

I like a good red wine out of everything
also sweet liquor and some champagnes are very good, especially the flavored ones.
Vodka is okay at times, depending on my mood and my wants at the moment, and the only beer I can stand is the Radler beer with lemon.

I love the taste of most things. I've gotten used to the 'bite' of harder drinks (like spirits) over time.

And the buzz varies from person to person, really. I'd say due to your weight it shouldn't affect you much/at all though.

I hate it, save for some fruity drinks like margaritas. I also didn't mind Kraken rum, and absinthe doesn't even taste like alcohol to me. I just down a few potent shots and try not to think about how bad the taste is.

I LOVE to get drunk! My problem is that I'm so tiny that it doesn't take much. I always have someone with me to cover my ass if I get out of hand.

I like beer, wine, whiskey but only if I am already drunk, vodka and those yummy hard lemonades!!
