Hey...
So I'm 16 and I was sorta addicted to beer. Like I couldn't live without it for even a single day for the past 6 months. I used to buy them illegally (mom if you're reading this, please stop) and sometimes used to ask a random guy in a random gig to buy be some. For the past few week I've completely stopped drinking beer and now I have this weird urge to smoke even though I've never smoked. Can anyone please tell me if its normal and give me some advice n controlling it? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I would just remind you that not smoking has way more benefits than smoking. You are basically just fucking yourself over when you smoke. Thats why I just see smoking as a really lame thing to do

Every so often I would get the urge to smoke even though I'm not a daily smoker, I still don't smoke daily, and I would say to just let the urge(s) pass, or try to focus on something else if you need to.

It's called Peer Pressure...

I had that and the same thing too but I tried smoking and a week later I don't really care about smoking that much so I quit smoking 7 months ago but I only tried it 3 times

I don't really know something that could help you but don't start smoking.
Really, don't.

I smoke for about 4 years daily now, and I tried to stop smoking several times.
I just can't do it.
Your condition is going downhill, you are going to breathe heavier (don't know if that's correct spelling) and it's just really bad for your body, your health and you.

Sometimes, when you let go of one addiction, you try to fill it in with something else and that too becomes an addiction.
Try letting it out in sports, go running like crazy or do some swimming, maybe ride a bike until you can't walk. Or into some hobby you really really like doing.

I don't know if you'd consider yourself an alcoholic (sounds likely from what you've described), but I am a recovering alcoholic, and a few months back I'd get the urge to smoke even though I'd rarely smoked, and didn't care for it much. Most of my problem was a need to replace the 'high'/buzz/feeling/whatever I got from alcohol. Are you trying to replace/substitute the feeling alcohol gave you, or is this out of nowhere?

It's called Peer Pressure...

Er, not necessarily. I was never pressured to smoke initially.

Ah, this is what I was trying to describe. Thank you.
