Screen recording on TV.

Ok, so I want to start making youtube videos, but because my laptop has a shitty screen, I want do do it via TV. I have an HDMI cable and a Philips LED TV, it's not a smart TV. How do I do it? I use Windows 7.

I'm not exactly sure of what you are suggesting, but what I'd recommend is using a capture card OR hooking up your computer to the TV through HDMI and using a screen recording software, again, I'm not fully sure of what you want though.

What exactly do you want to do?

Making gameplay videos? Invest in some good screen recording software, I hear Fraps is very good, though you're bound to find many others, each claiming to be the best.
Editing videos? You may want to use a TV screen.
