Golf Advice?

So I decided to join my schools golf team and just want to know if anyone has any good advice on how to do well in the sport?

Practice practice practice. Also, don't try and be a hero or hit shots you're not sure you can make. Being consistent will lower your scores.

Enjoy it though, high school golf is super fun. I played on JV my sophomore and senior year and had a great time.

As IAMWILL said you need to practice, especially chipping and putting. That is where you can really improve your score. It can be hard to find a place to practice chipping but any public course will have a practice green for putting. Forget trying to hit a 300 yard drive, it won't happen. Hitting it 150 and in play is much more important than hitting it long with no control.
