Really very stupid question!!!

So she's really very upset and I am about to meet her in a couple of hours. I want to give her a hug but i dont know how. The truth is I've never hugged anyone even my own mom. The last time i did was like 5 years ago? idk
I know this is a stupid question but still...
And sorry if I ask to much. I dont really talk to other people so asking for advice from people personally is out of the question.

Just do it, try not to think about it.
You just need to make the first move... she'll recognize the gesture and accept the hug or hug back.

Everyone knows what a hug is, wrap your arms around them and give them a soft squeeze and hold it for a few seconds. It'll come naturally.

That's what I do. I go for the half-hug and then I can kind of gauge what feels right.

To answer OP's question: Hugs really do come naturally. Just do what you feel is best and you'll be fine.
