My school has co ed locker rooms. I don't wear a bra since they're uncomfortable, so all the guys always come over and stare at my breasts, which are pretty big. What should I do about it?

Tell somebody about it (teacher, coach, whoever), they should respect your privacy and not look. Maybe keep a towel with you or something like that so you can kind of cover up, or change in a stall or something? That could help as well.

That is very creepy. You should tell a teacher if it's bothering you.

Thats really strange first of all that your school allows that. But if thats the case i would either try wearing a bra for those situations or tell them off.

I think there's nothing you can do about it except wearing a bra :/ Hopefuly your school rules and terms would change soon so girls would get a separate locker room...

Having to share a locker room with the boys is disgusting...

That is very strange and creepy to be starred at while your in the locker room.
I would definitely keep a towel around me or near by to cover up with.
No free shows for them.

I didn't even know mixed gender changing rooms were legal o.o Here we have separate female and male changing rooms although I hated even getting changed in front of other girls. If they are doing that it needs to be reported as it's a form of sexual harassment - you have a right to privacy.I suggest asking if they will allow you to use the staff changing rooms if it's been upsetting you or wear a bra .I hate wearing one ,but it's probably best in your situation.

Some countries in Europe are not affraid of mixing genders in some situations. In france most public bathrooms are not separate. And I know some agricultural colleges in Denmark have only one shower room so its common for both genders to share.
Im not saying that Nicole is overreacting, Im just guessing she might be from some place in Europe. If the locker-rooms are shared it must be possible to hide your private parts. What do the others do? Are all girls naked breasts visible in there and the guys penises.
If the guys stare even if you hide your breasts, you should definitely talk to teachers or something.

I agree. I don't know about Europe, but if they did this in the US, people would be fired and you could face legal and criminal charges. You just can't put both sexes in the same locker room.

I've never heard of a school allowing mixed gender changing rooms here.If that did happen the guys would be expelled from the school =/

This doesn't even make sense, why would boys and girls have the same lockerroom, do you share showers too? Sorry I'm not buying it.

yeah I can't imagine a school letting boys and girls see each other naked - what school board or parents would think it's okay?

actually out in California I've seen where there are more and more coed locker rooms to address those who are "transgendered" and other such things..I personally don't care I wouldn't mind using one at all...google it

there's no way that could be in America, it would be illegal, you can't have mixed gender in the same locker room here

Hm well, I would not mind at all, I'm pretty confident about my body.
But it IS strange for a school to have a co-ed changing room!

Honeybear is right it's not all that common yet but I have heard of it in a school in my city and as of January 1st it's the law in California that transgender can use either the male or female facilities so I can see schools making a unisex option more common in the future

well i think just face them with head high and if they look at your brests they have to show off something too... trust me they get scarded;)

This is not a legit discussion. I just did my homework. The law - only in California - is for transgendered students only. There are no co-ed showers there, and guys are not just walking into the girls locker rooms. There haven't even been any cases of that hinted at in the news. So for this to be a real situ, a bunch of guys would have to invade a girls locker room - that's something that would be in the news!

You could start wearing a tank top under your shirts, or just tell the guys to leave you alone. That's creepy and they should really respect your privacy.
Edit: For everyone saying it's illegal in America, she never said she lives here.

Well even though I've never heard of co-ed locker rooms at a school, as I'm sure it's not very legal, isn't there at least 2 different parts of the locker room where boys and girls go? why not just face the lockers when you change? This whole thing is kinda weird :P

This is the case in my old school in Belgium and I had guys looking at my breasts. What I did was that I put my hand in one of the boys pants and squeezed his thing very hard. because he was the one to disturb me he did not dare tell anybody. All the boys backed away.

This. In a lot of other areas (such as Europe and South America), nudity is no big deal. They'll go to a nude beach like how someone would go to the mall or the movie theater and not think twice.
As for the original poster, what about going into a toilet stall like you have to "go" and just change in there?

I've never heard do coed bathrooms but I suppose its possible. Even if it is coed it HAS to have a stall, so use that. Or, ask if there are other facilities where you can change privately

This. Europe is entirely different from America. I like how 90% of the people who think it's weird and 100% of the ones who call bullshit are from America :P It's not like every country works like America does. America is actually kind of weird.

Actually, transgender students are allowed in the locker room they feel most comfortable in some schools. Also, like others have said, she never said she was in America. Americans are too prudish and paranoid, so of course it wouldn't be legal.
From the doctor: Those coed locker rooms are stupid.
Not really, I mean ideally men should be taught to treat females as other people and not just objects to fap to. The reverse should apply as well. Transgendered/etc students should be able to feel comfortable without risk of ridicule or false claims of sexual harassment. We're all just humans, and we kind of need to get the fuck over each other's bodies and worry about our own shit.
As of right now, yeah, it's probably problematic, but Europe is a smart continent. They get away with a lot of things that would be potentially devastating in America, because the American public in general is kind of moronic and depraved, and has no common sense, self-discipline, or sense of wisdom. Europe tends to do things a lot differently, and it turns out well for them, because typically they're less closed-minded as a public.
I like how this turned into people talking about the legal concept of same-sex locker rooms instead of helping her out. lol
I know, right.

As for advice, I'd have to go with the tank idea as well. That sounds like a reasonable compromise. But DEFINITELY tell someone who's in charge there- they shouldn't be able to get away with it.

You should inform your teacher of this, & possibly even talk with them or your principal about getting different sex locker rooms,I can't believe that there is a school out there that still has a coed locker room.

wow thats interesting.
Its also hard to believe how that would make anyone feel better, regardless of whether your transgendered or not.
To me its rather arrogent to assume everyone else will be just "ok" with sharing locker rooms.

Thing is, that'd take a lot of renovation most likely. They'd have to do it during the summer break to begin with. I doubt it's just something they could change easily.

As someone on the trans spectrum myself, I can say that it can make things less awkward. If you're biologically female, and uncomfortable with the female body, it would be hell to go into the girl's locker room. You might feel better in the boy's locker room. And vice versa.
I personally feel comfortable in
Neither. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. I hate people seeing me disrobed. :whoops:
But coed would make things interesting. I mean, there would definitely be pros and cons for everyone involved.

I know as a guy I shouldn't be in here, sorry, but I wanted to say I work at McDonald's and our locker room is co- ed it doesn't feel right because when ever I'm changing I do it in record time and if there's a girl changing before me I have to wait.

Try to have the school change that, or request for teachers to have a handle on the boys! That is a very creepy thing for them to do.
