Because not everyone can be as lucky as you. Exams scare both the living and dying shit out of me...

Cause people crack under pressure

They're very normal, I get them sometimes even if I don't really feel nervous. My friend gets them so bad she can hardly hold a pencil. It's a sort of defence system your body has for survival to mobilise you into flight.

Because people see mentally demanding tasks as threatening rather then challenging?

I don't have them. With my teachers, it's either failure or the best grade. There is no middle ground.

Well when you're under pressure your brain kind of goes into 'fight or flight' mode.

Still, why fly rather then fight? Has no one any balls these days

Well you beat up that exam paper then, and show them who's boss xD Okay and back to your question it's actually preparing you for either, you're going to have to move either way :)

Hey. Hey you. You wanna know something interesting? If someone has any form of anxiety it's not because they "don't have the balls" to handle whatever they're facing. It's because they're simply not easily able to perform under pressure as well as some other people. So if you're going to be both wrongly and overly judgmental, find somewhere else to post.

It's because they're simply not easily able to perform under pressure as well as some other people. That's what I meant when I said not having balls. You said it with more words. Is a science quiz on the metric system really something worth crying about? To me and any sane person, no it isn't. Of course, to a large portion of my grade 10 class of young adults on that day, it was a matter of life and death. People were terrified, shit went down man. This is what I'm talking about when I say not having balls.
